The small external USB3.0 HDD from Western Digital is lightweight and fast, stripped down to just the housing with the disk in it and a short USB3.0 cable. It runs very stable and is the perfekt harddrive for fast backups or schlepp your files around with you.

In a quick benchmark test the WD My Passport Ultra with 1TB capacity sports a 110 MByte/s read and write speed when tested with CrystalDiskMark v3.0. The test ran on a Windows 7 x64 machine with 32GB RAM.
